EGYPTOLOGICAL
|
The findings of Egyptologysts bring to light a number of powerful characters who will be introduced now; others as the mystery unfolds.
AMENOPHIS III The wealthiest Pharaoh of Egypt
NEFERTITI One of the most famous and beautiful Egyptian queens
TUTANKHAMON The only preserved tomb discovered by Egyptologists
RAMSES II The most famous and acclaimed warrior/politician
All of the above characters lived in between 1400 b.c.e and 1200 b.c.e, a period rich in change and turmoil in Egypt and the surrounding areas. It is a short window in the midst of a three thousands year Egyptian era; yet one of final brilliance. Shortly afterwards in lands close to Egypt, David's Kingdom (Israel) and the Delos League (Athens) appeared; at this time Egypt began its period of decline..
At the center of this period is the Pharaoh AKHNATON
Amenophis III was his father, Nefertiti his wife, Tutankhamon his son.
Ramses II who followed Akhnaton's sudden disappearance, destroyed all evidence of his reign and erased him from historical records - yet, a century later Israel and Athens appeared (the former, initiated by Moses, the later founded by Theseus, initiated by Oedipus, at Colonus) - see David Kingdom & Delos League, both 1000 B.C..
Akhnaton had initiated a new monotheistic religion and promoted a social revolution in Egypt. He brought his country on the verge of a catastrophy then suddenly and mysteriously disappeared. His empty tomb underscores the covering up of his memory by his successor Ramses II. AKHNATON was erased from all Egyptian historical records and it was forbidden to mention his name. At this time MOSES appeared on the historical stage in the Sinai (around 1300 b.c.e).
Akhnaton's recently discovered writing appears in the Bible as a major text attributed to Moses, and numerous points indicate that Akhnaton left Egypt - but the "Akhnaton-Moses" bond remained blurred at that time, and Moses final disappearance kept secret as long as the Athenian witnesses were ignored.
A thousand years later, Sophocles disclosed the Athenian secret with his OEDIPUS tales which revealed that Akhnaton-Moses initiated Theseus, the founder of Athens. Sophocles was so precise that he could even described the spell which protected Tutankhamon's tomb, whose discovery in the twentieth century revealed the power of the taboo which branded the primal setting of our contemporary history.
