Two clues are important to keep in mind:
Akhnaton was not known to the world until 1900
A.D.
and
By 1980 Egyptology showed that he may have been Hebrew

Note:
Again, remember that akhnaton.net Web site is based on academic researches in the 20th century. It summarizes a scientific conclusion after 2 centuries of Egyptology and only in 1900 with the discovery of Akhnaton's Life and City.
It took then the 20th century to make the frame for this discovery and its understanding. Take your time to make your opinion, and keep in mind that this discovery is in total accordance with the traditional and Sacred Scriptures (for example: Akhnaton was Hebrew, by his mother Tiye: Another example: he was not murdered but disappeared as Moses did according to the Bible, etc...). The only discordance is with the contemporary divided collegialities (Hellenists, Jewish history and Egyptology) of scholars who refuse to combine together their specialities. Each one respects so well the other's territory, that they don't achieve a synthesis which is yet highly probable and - very probably - which will make Akhnaton the major historical discovery since the Renaissance.
The reason why you began to see the Akhnaton-Moses-Oedipus identification through the Web electronic form - and not in your bookstore, is because its author believes that the century old printing culture has no time or chance to process the release of the repression - and that the release of Akhnaton's memory is entirely part of the Electron Age. This makes it very weak, of course, like a poor infant compared to its well grown, organized and wealthy parents.
