Once you receive your kit, you may consider how to preserve it, and perhaps a personal Will, with which you may wish to associate your DNA, for long term future use.

CYBEK offers analysis, support and logistics
for independant groups of people who wish to join an association,
for the long-term during life, and after-death management
(execution of an individual's Will, preservation and possible engineering) of their DNA.

In 1997, no apolitic or independant social system existed for the repository of DNA. Storage of DNA was performed by Military, Health institution or Criminal instances, but no commercial banking system was commonly accessible for citizens in good health, or for their family members. Funeral depositories were slow to adapt to the new scientific situation, and did not adjust their guarantees in regard to the execution of one's will upon his/her DNA after death.

It was an unsatisfactory situation.

Military and Criminal institutions do not consider the Will of the DNA's owner. Health institutions are also national, and subject to ideolgies. Families are historically unpredictable too, and commercial banking - though possibly international and ideologically transparent - bear no guaranteed Ethics beyond its Principle of finance.

Average citizens, in the world of Genetics, must rely on
a new tool for their individual DNA preservation.

DNAgroups - i.e. social groups whose purpose is exclusively the maintenance and the management of individual's DNA - may be the way. Furthermore, ecological issues, which are closely linked with a correct management of DNA repository and engineering, demonstrate a need for the specific decision and care administration of the DNAgoups.

REASON FOR DNAGROUPS IN REGARDS TO ECOLOGY

Sociology and Genetics have shown how important for an Ecology, is the maintenance of the attachment between an individual genome and its name . Human Science joins biology in this regard, with social entities - DNAgroups - assigned to preserve those attachments.
(as Naming is a foundation for a sociology, it is expressed by a Will, during an individual's life, which constitutes one's historical expression in regard to the future use or engineering of his/her DNA - implementing an Ecosystem with a memory function)

CYBEK defines DNA groups, according to a proposal that members may modify and/or improve. CYBEK's support of those social entities for management of DNA repositories aims to be limited to logistic contribution s- DNAgroups being understood as essentially independent.

SUMMARY

Cybek is a global society interested in long term DNA preservation, and share a belief that beneficial ecological use of DNA - in an ecology which will be dominated by human industry - will depend on the given respect of individual human being's personal Wills regarding their personal DNA.
DNA Groups, hosted by Cybek, are associations for an exclusive purpose (DNA preservation), and which gather together in order to protect and respect this logical belief in the present, as well as in the long term future.

Principle: Since DNA engineering will be a major factor for maintenance of future ecology - it is necessary to sustain memory and social history for its maintenance. In other words, the Will of a living individual is kept after his death, inclusive of his expressed wishes for the use, or conservation, of his DNA. (at contrario, neglecting the 'living will' would debase any memory industry - i.e. ecology).

Tool: Preservation of the DNA & Will is in the charge of living members (depositors) of an Association. When these members decease, their depository is in the charge of the remaining living members, - who then maintain the Preservation along with incoming new members.
This most logical organization is called DNAgroups - its simplicity stands for its founding.

Status: Each DNA group may have its specific Charter/status or by-laws. As group consultants, they are available to other CYBEK's members who may be interested in choosing their group. According to its charter, information regarding the preservation techniques the group employs, as well as its financial status, its location(s), policies for depositories of the stock are accessible.

With the 'proposal' - as a logical and Ethical management for DNA Groups, CYBEK recommands the principle expressed PLAN - - PLAN (PLural ANalysis) is the Traditional Art of Memory which has been updated by Psychoanalysis. Twice rooted - in Tradition and Science (Art of Memory and Genetics) - PLAN is one of the few currently defined practices of the Ethics of Ecology.
