PROPOSAL TO THE AMERICAN PSYCHOANALYTIC ASSOCIATION 1999
EXTENSION OF PSYCHOANALYSIS TOWARDS SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
TEAMS
ABSTRACT
A meeting between
Psychoanalysis and Scientific Research Teams is promoted by CYBEK of New
York - an Educational Research Company (1), developing Plural Analysis,
a technique for group-management which follows the suggestions of S.
Freud.
PLural
ANalysis (PLAN) originates from Freud's conclusion that his
discovery necessitates "bridging the gap between individual and mass
psychology"(2). An endeavor in this direction was initiated by an Association
(UNEFPE) in France in 1985. The principle of Psychoanalysis combined with
the organization of this legal entity; soon PLAN's specific technique
resulted.
After
its setting, PLAN verified in a successful demonstration, the persistence
of Psychoanalysis' character in its adjustment to mass-psychology. In addition,
observation reveals that since Freud's time--when War and Religion were the
sole accessible clinical signs of group-psychologies--now Ecology (3) provides
supplementary data for documenting archaic memory and collective
knowledge.
From
this completion, Psychoanalysis is apt to widen its field of intervention.
After having begun with analysis and treatment of psychopathology, its access
to collective psychology qualifies it also in regard of consensual, 'Normal'
Knowledge (as Science for example). Beside PLAN's application in the Industrial
world, CYBEK proposes a program of contact and communication with Scientific
Research Teams which will use its psycho-sociological approach for their
exploration and management of Scientific Models of thoughts (4), as well
as the communication with their communal environment.

NOTICE : Due to the volume of data and quality of PLAN's work, complementary information to the E) Project Description has been included in F) Appendix - which relate itself to larger documentation on the World Wide Web. For this reason an electronic version of the file is provided, with a PC floppy (Appendix 05 - which may help for navigation, animated pictures etc..) as well as temporary URL (which allows even wider link access) at http://www.dnafoundation.com/mail/defautl.htm
