The foundation of PLAN is in the ancient Art of Memory.

Divulged by Simonides in Plato's crucial Time, the Art of Memory was presented as a Social Technique to be prescribed in periods of chaos. Evidently the legends (earthquake circumtance) describes more general memory and life concepts. Three reports of this traditional Art - Simonides, Cicero, G.Bruno - each one at the renaissance moment of the three historical sequences (Athens, Rome, Europe) of our present civilization - indicate how it is there, a primordial structure.

Summary of the legend: While Simonides left a Banquet, an earthquake killed and muddled up its members (i.e. chaos confused their identities). When he came back, as he remembered the places and the names, he could reconstitute the assembly.

The simple Topology & Timing of the Art of Memory can be refered to the dimensions of the Psyche (in the Lacanian system). It makes thus a model for a social ecology (Art of Memory updated, named Plural Analysis). Its theory looks over multiple applications. Plural Analysis may be prescribed especially when cybernetics causes the so-called chaos in a community (Artificial Intelligence, feed-back, and also pollution, genetics etc...).

PLAN generalizes the ancient Art of Memory.

PLural ANalysis consists with an analyst who consults in a room aside from the meeting, and distributes (by "extractions") the Art of Memory Principle to each members of the group.
Science of History (memory), Psychology and Sociology, acknowledge three impacts when PLural ANalysis applies its extractions: on the group (a circulating absence - minus-one), on the individual (distribution of individual personnal sessions), and on the analyst (serial memory of the sessions/extractions). The combination of these three effects sustain the global behavior of the group while its transformation.

Plural Analysis enables a community to persist through mutation due to changes in technologies. When an ecosystem, a Society and/or its Environment, starts to be perturbed, changes follow which threaten the system. The precaution or the remedy first regards its ability for keeping its identity as PLAN is set for.
